Wilkes-Barre River Common

Friday, June 19th marks the beginning of a new era for the Greater Wilkes-Barre Area with the official opening of the RiverCommon. For the first time in a great number of years, this park will reconnect citizens to our area’s greatest natural resource, the Susquehanna River.
To celebrate, a free, two day music festival will coincide with the dedication and grand opening, bringing together people throughout the area and proving to be an event not to miss!
A ribbon cutting ceremony at 4p.m. will kick off the event that will continue throughout the night with live music by the Wyoming Valley Band.
